Why does my oven run hotter or cooler than the dial says?
Ovens drift over years of use. A worn sensor or a thermostat out of calibration will read the cavity wrong. We measure actual temperature against the setting, then recalibrate or replace the sensing part causing the gap.
Is a gas oven safe to keep using if the igniter is slow?
A slow igniter lets gas collect before it lights, which we do not recommend living with. Turn the oven off and use the cooktop meanwhile. Igniter replacement is a common repair on gas ranges and wall ovens.
Do you work on wall ovens built into cabinets?
Yes. Built-in wall ovens need careful pulling from the cabinet so the trim and wiring stay intact. We plan the pull before we start, especially in older homes where cabinet openings were cut by hand.
My oven threw an error code after self-clean. Related?
Often, yes. Self-clean drives extreme heat that can cook a thermal fuse, a door lock motor, or a control board. Those are the parts we test first when a failure shows up right after a clean cycle.
Can you repair the oven and the cooktop on one range?
We handle both halves of a range. Surface burners, spark modules, and infinite switches are separate from the bake circuit, so tell us if both sides act up and we will bring parts for each.
How long does an oven repair usually take?
Many jobs finish in a single visit when the failed part is a common element, igniter, or sensor. Control boards and some brand-specific parts get ordered, and we set a return time before we leave.
